Have you seen the Chronicles of Narnia movie, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?" Then you may remember the scene where Lucy comes bounding out of the wardrobe and shouts, "I'm back!" That's a little picture of the way I feel after taking 9 days off from posting. :-) I'm back!
I haven't had much time to stamp and almost thought I'd lost the ability to create anything fresh. I am thankful to God for the gift of creativity and the fact that it can ebb at times but it always does come back.
Here's the first card I made after the holidays. I wanted to keep it simple but I added a layer of acetate. You know I'm just continuing my 'learning' about this product by playing with it. I began with the blush blossom panel with the Outlaw designer paper on top. I cut the scalloped piece and put it on top of the patterned paper. On the window sheet, I stamped the large flower in white Staz-On ink. The blossoms are stamped on vanilla card stock, cut out, and placed over the acetate. I punched holes through the top of the card and the acetate and threaded the ribbon through.
In the second photo I lifted the acetate so you can get a better view of the layers.
A true friend is you, friend! I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I appreciate you as my cyber-friends and I want to wish you a blessed and happy new year too. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind support. I'll be back tomorrow!
