It's Thursday - Emily's day! Here she is...
This was one of those cards that started out with a definite idea of the focal point...but the idea just didn't work. And then plan B didn't work, either! I tried twice to use a chipboard piece and cover it with glitter (two different pieces and two different techniques), but neither turned out quite to my satisfaction. Apparently Stampin' Up!s chunky essentials glitter has an attitude. :D So in the end, I used the fine cosmo glitter and the heart stamp from always in place of a chipboard piece...things went much smoother with those!
The rest of the card is pretty straightforward - I used the first of my "flower fusion" felt pieces - I think I'm really going to enjoy those. :D
Alright, I'd better go do the breakfast dishes! (yes, they are still littering the counter downstairs...I came up to get a jump-start on everyone else who uses the school/stamping room in the morning...needless to say I've been here a while, and I haven't even started MY school!) Hope yall have a great day!
Paper: kraft, blue bayou, whisper white, spring break ds
Other: fine cosmo glitter, heat & stick powder, urban west rubons, wild wasabi striped grosgrain ribbon, spiral punch, flower fusion accents & elements, silver brad
Oh, and sorry about the semi-washed-out picture...for some reason with these colors I had a hard time getting them to look right - maybe it was the light. Anyway, use your imagination, 'cause it looks a lot better in real life!
