I just love this happy scarecrow and he's got his arms wide open and a big smile to greet you with this morning! I'm smiling too because today's challenge at Stamp Something is to say thanks or Happy Thanksgiving.
I've been wanting to make one of these cute stair step cards and couldn't wait to try it with the Happy Blessings set. Thinking this would be a quick card, I got out my SU markers and was just going to use them to color. But I so missed the layers of color look, so I ended up using the markers and my aqua painter to color the image. After putting on a light layer of color directly on the paper, I scribbled some of the marker color in a plastic lid first, then added shading with the aqua painter. A stair step fold card is so easy! Start by cutting your card stock at 10.5 x 5". Score at 1.25" - 2.5" - 4.25", 6" and 8.25." Make pleats along the score lines so that the folds are at the top and decorate! In my new all out effort to use up the designer paper that I keep buying (LOL) I used the Autumn vines DP here.
Happy Fall y'all!
