I went looking for new challenges to try and loved the colors from this week's Color Throwdown so I set out to make my card today using Summer Sun, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. These aren't colors I normally use, so my card turned out to be a surprise to me and I'm pleased with the result. Challenges are meant to get you to think out of your normal parameters - that's why I love them!
I began knowing I wanted to use the Mixed Bunch flower and the dotted Espresso pattern from the Fruit & Flowers Designer Series Paper. I added paper from the Patterns Prints Designer Series Pack. Once I had my elements, I just played around with the layout until it looked right and balanced.
Many of the layers are popped up and the flower has double layers of foam dots.
This card was lots of fun to make and I look forward to sending it!
