Well it has been quite a week at my house. My husband and son both had birthdays, that's always fun! However, my husband had a bad fall (read: unintentional arial stunt starting running on and next thing we know he hit slick grass and suddenly he's airborne upside down). Makes for a rough landing. On HIS birthday we found out he'd broken his collarbone. That has meant LOTS of pain for him, and a 4 to 6 week convalescence with arm in a sling, unable to use his good hand. I'm thankful that bones heal and there was no worse damage done.
I don't mean to treat this in any way as important, but next thing our land-line phone and DSL line went out for two days and I felt as if I was missing an arm! I'm glad to be back!
I'm proud to share a card with you that has already MADE it INTO the mailbox and is on it's way to the recipient. I'm adding this to my post-four-times-a-week goal: to make cards for all the extended family and MAIL them.
I'm LOVIN' Parker's Patterns DSP, the bold patterns and colors are perfect! I combined them with the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set (coming soon with Sale-A-Bration) for this retirement card.
A tip: I made two die cuts with the Two Tags Die, then trimmed them down to mat and fit on the card front. Another new product is the Natural Trim Ribbon from the Spring Catalog. The tag is made with the Ticket Punch. I punched twice to make it smaller.
Now that I can use my computer again, I'm so anticipating sharing the 24 projects that I made for the Display Sample Boards at Leadership. I'll post one of those tomorrow. Posts set to keep coming through Saturday, enjoy!
