Welcome to Artisan Wednesday Wow! It's that time of week again and I'm happy to have you visit. Did you arrive from Amy's blog? I think her project will be amazing, her work always is done with excellence in every way and a fun style.
I am so ready for spring, and chose my favorite pink and green combo for today's project. In my younger teen days (long, long, ago!) these are the duo I chose to decorate my bedroom in the very first time I got one of my own.
How do you like my flower? I had a great time using my reinkers and water to dye the CANVAS that the flower is made from. Yup, it's made with a blank canvas sheet which was spruced up and spritzed up and has a pretty texture and satiny sheen. Why canvas, you might ask? It is softer than card stock and soaks up whatever look you want to give it! In tomorrow's post, I'll share the steps and details of how I got that effect in a tutorial.
I used the Fun Flowers Bigz DIe to cut it out, and rolled the petals around tweezers while heating with my tool so that they turned under a bit. The leaves are stamped with the geometric image in the World Treasures stamp set, and heat embossed in clear to add interest and texture. I used a circle punch to cut the shapes and sponged to add depth and a suggestion of veining. Supplies are listed below.
Next on the hop you'll find a terrific project at Erica Cerwin's blog. If you're like me, you know something fabulous awaits!
