My backyard is one of my favorite places! It was cool enough today to sit out even in the afternoon. I love sitting on the steps when I take my beagle, Josie, outside. This happens several times a day!
Seems fitting that of all the ***new*** goodies that arrived yesterday the Backyard Basics was my stamping choice for today. The set has several images and coordinating framelits. Of all the images, I like the beautiful blooms best.
I began with the Deco Labels Framelits. I first cut the Label Die, then stamped the blooms using StazOn Ink. I colored using inks and the Aqua Painter. I've found this works fine on Whisper White Card Stock as long as I keep a tissue ready to wipe excess water from the pen tip.
After die-cutting with the Framelits I tucked the blooms back into the negative space. I like this puzzle effect with dies. The bottom of the stems are adhered with tape runner, but the top pieces are curled back and popped up on dimensionals for added depth.
The two banners are from the *new* Flip Card Label Thinlits. I wanted a pop of black on the card so I layered them together. It works! I love that when these are die cut there are score lines that make it so easy to shape them!
The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set. I can't wait to find out how many sentiments from other sets fit on the banners.
Did I say bling? Just a few rhinestones. They aren't in my backyard, even on the best of days.
Hope your day is great!
