I am still learning from the Insiders Card Class I took a couple of weeks ago and on Day 3 they focused on cards with surprises inside! Imagine finding a tiny envelope with a $$ bill folded inside, or a vellum pocket for a photo. I can't wait to come up with some of my own creations but for today, I tried a CASE of the clever card shown by Shari Carroll.
I love the idea of a clear card front. But it is a puzzle to figure out where to put your own message inside.
For my window, I made a frame using the I am Me Designer Series Paper, and cut another frame in the card front using the largest die from the Deco Label Collection. Before adhering them together I tucked in my window sheet cut just a bit smaller than the DSP.
I added Washi tape, the die cut Thx (from the Circle Card Thinlets Die) and punched butterflies to the card front. I love the dimension you get with a window!
Now when you open the inside, surprise!
The sentiment was hidden under the Washi tape at the top. I love the way "Your'e the Best" continues the thanks thought from the front.
In the bottom left, was a small envelope. The Envelope Punch Board is so easy to use, I figured out how to cut an envelope down to the size that I needed. The panel inside is just right for a tiny message!
I hope you've enjoyed today's post. I love surprises, don't you?
