I love the look of watercolor! Actually coloring images with ink is one of my favorite techniques. But today I found a great and easy way to get those splashes of color using the Watercolor Winter Kit from My Digital Studio.
This brand new kit was offered yesterday and I ordered it as soon as I saw it.
What I love about this kit are the swatches of color and overlay stamps that create a beautiful background pattern. If you enlarge my photo you can see swirls of Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze, and white. There are stamped snowflakes and a subtle overall snowflake pattern. I printed it at home on Whisper White card stock. The photo just doesn't show the subtle soft pattern off well. It's much prettier in real life.
The tag and the text are elements included in the kit's embellishments ready to be placed on the card. Of course, I had to add some bling! There are digital sequins, topped by a real rhinestone jewel on each of the three snowflakes.
What an easy way to make a hybrid card that is unique in every way!
Did you know that new Digital Downloads are available each Tuesday? You may want to check them out! You can find them HERE.
As far as a Winter Wonderland goes, this North Carolina girl is just dreaming! It's going to be 71 here today. Maybe I'll change some of the colors in this kit and make a springy watercolor next time!
