I'm ready for spring and the weather has warmed up, the daffodils are in bloom so I say bring on the flowers! I love living in North Carolina, the weather should be gorgeous now until the intense heat of July.
I did lots of watching the Olympics, so I wanted a little something to do with my hands. Love to watercolor. I pulled out the Inktense watercolor pencils again to get more practice with coloring. I have a few images and just need to put them onto cards now.
For this one, I stamped in Summer Starfruit ink on the same color cards stock. The Hardwood Background stamp is perfect for flowers, or just a little texture, and I love how real it looks! Plus, it's so versatile depending on what color of ink you choose.
The coloring shows up much better if you enlarge the photo by clicking on it. THe images were colored in with several layers of colors. I used an Aquabrush, but instead of filling it with water, I dipped it in a few drops of water, and pulled ink off the tip of the colored pencil.
Here's the inside. I really ended up liking these colors together.
Coming up this week is another colored card (yes, still on the flowers theme!) and who knows what I'll make next? I don't yet, but I have some ideas!
Hope you have felt inspired today. I always appreciate the thoughtful comments. They help keep me going!
