I've shared here many times how much I love to watercolor my stamped images. At the moment, Stampin' Up! doesn't carry watercolor pencils. After seeing them online, I decided to give the Derwent Inktense Pencils a try. They were a little gift I bought myself just after Christmas.
Today I have an organizing tip for you. Soon I hope to have a project to post too!
I wanted a swatch of each color but didn't want to draw a grid first. Voila! The Honeycomb Embossing Folder worked great. I embossed watercolor paper and scribbled a bit of each color on the left side of the swatch. Using my Aquapainter, I pulled the color to the right. You can see that each color gets lighter with more water added.
Aren't these colors luscious? I LOVE the intensity! After I made this I was drooling over it. Eye candy for my heart!
I wrote the number of each color under the swatch. Then turned the piece over and wrote the color name on the appropriate space on the back.
These samples will be tucked inside the pencil storage case for easy reference.
This afternoon is my deep clean and put it ALL away time in my craft room.
Talk about intense, ha ha!
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I'll be back soon with the projects. Hugs!
What a GREAT idea! I miss our watercolor pencils too. It's just not the same coloring from the lid of the ink pad. I'm looking forward to the Blendabilities pens that are coming!
Thank you for sharing!

That is a brilliant use of the honeycomb embossing folder! I am eager to hear more about the upcoming pens!
