I love all kinds of non-traditional colors for Christmas cards. But when it comes to the ornaments on our tree, I love nothing better than red, green, gold, and white shiny decorations.
When I saw the sketch for our Fab Friday Challenge this week, I decided it was the perfect day to use my new Holly Ornament die.
I started with a die cut stitched circle. The ornament was die cut twice - once in red foil, and once in white card stock.
I used Copics in red, greens and grays to color the outer edge and holly part of the ornament. The foil was inlaid in the die cut for some shine! I know I'm going to LOVE using this red foil from Stampin' Up! during the Christmas season.
The word was also cut in foil.
For once, I didn't tweak the sketch Just wanted to make sure you **noticed** because it's quite rare for me to not change something!
OK, so looking at the photo again, maybe I did do some tweaking. Tell me what you think.
I think this sketch is a great chance to play along with us at Fab Friday Challenge! and even get a start on your holiday cards.
I'd love for you to check out the blogs of my friends on the DT too.
