Hi how is everyone this weekend?
Challenge number 70 at Fab Friday came and went yesterday and I didn't get my card made in time. But I've decided its such a fun sketch there is no way I want to skip it, so I'm playing along anyway!
I've been practicing making my own backgrounds using various methods and mediums and I had a few of them just waiting to be made into cards. This background began as white card stock sponged with shades of blues and green inks.
Afterwards, I stamped over the colored inks using Versamark Ink and the Something Lacy stamp from Stampin' Up! I had tried making the background as one piece, but after some bloopers I cut it into panels and layered them on a white panel.
If you'd like to learn more about backgrounds, I suggest taking the Background Check at Online Card Classes.
Last but not least, here's the sweet sketch that started it all.
I'd love for you to play along with us at the Fab Friday Challenge!
