Anybody there? It's been so quiet on my blog I wonder if you're out there this week.
In my last post I shared that I had a long-awaited visit to my Mom and that my neurosarcoid symptoms seem to be resolving into remission. Not only am I able to walk well, the fatigue is gone and I have some energy back! Oh, feeling good makes the days SO MUCH MORE FUN!
I'm shouting because I know you're listening and would want to know. I praise God for He is good and brings healing and life.
I'm sure you'd like to see the card for today. I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird stamps.
This set begins with an outline of the bird, and has a separate stamp for each part of the bird so that you can use different colors for the beak, belly, wings and tail. I love how easy it is to line the images up for easy multi-step stamping. You can also sponge a bit of another color over your original ink or rock and roll as I did on the wing.
I used Hero Arts inks to stamp the images. The soft background behind the bird was sponged with Distress Inks.
I added a dot of Glossy Accents to the bird's eye, and a few sequins from Verve to add sparkle.
I have to tell you that my first attempt at this sketch ended up in the trash.
But once I had it figured out, it only took a few more minutes to make this card. Now that I'm not so challenged with the layout I need to make another card with it!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. As always, I'd love to hear from you!
