I love the verse in Psalm 147:4 that reminds us that "He counts the stars" and created them, and knows them by name. It's the reason I bought this beautiful set called Shining Star from Verve.
I've also wanted to try foil techniques on my cards and it's hard to photograph, so I thought I'd start with a close up of the Silver Stars foil. Here you can see mostly the silver on the die cut stars rather than the reflection.
Here's my card kicked off by the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This is skinny card week, so my card measures 31/4 X 5-1/2".
I made it to encourage someone who has been struggling with health issues for a long time, to let him know that he hasn't been forgotten. Isn't it the best thing to be able to create a unique wish just for someone special?
I've been having some health struggles of my own recently. I was in the hospital for 4 days under the care of a neurologist and need further evaluation in hopes of a diagnosis. I've had to scale back many activities and that led to the break from my blog for a couple of weeks. I'd like to keep my blog sharing up as it's something that I enjoy, but as in many areas of my life right now, I need to figure out a way to simplify things.I'll keep you posted.
I appreciate your thoughts, and prayers, as this is a hard time for me and our family.
Now, if you've hung on with me reading through all that, I'll close with a couple of comments about the foil! I adhered it using iCraft Adhesive Sheets from Thermo Web. For this card, I removed the liner of the adhesive sheet, and placed the foil on top, then burnished it. I ran this through the Big Shot and then glued the stars onto the card.
Thanks so much for joining me today, I love having you come by...
