I have a hard time nailing down favorites, but I would have to say that watercoloring and paper flowers are right up there at the top of my list! I decided to team them up when I pulled out the Happy Watercolor set and the Spiral Flower Originals Die for the first time.
I'm sharing this because I'm sure some of you are just like me. Even though the paper flower is impractical for mailing--it's beautiful, so you just find delight in using it! I love the something-extra-special that the textured flowers add, and don't see any problem in hand-delivering my project.
I made one flower using card stock , and the other with Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. I found the card stock to be easier to work with if you're trying this die out for the first time. I like the pop of accent the black button gives.
I love the sentiment with this set, especially the psst....
The Daffodil Delight washes of color were made with the image from the set. It has gradations of color from light to dark, just as if you watercolored yourself. I stamped off once for a soft look.
Don't you just love this set? I have three more cards I made with Happy Watercolor ready to post this week. You'll see some techniques and surprises!
I plan to try to post more consistently. My goal now is four times a week, but some weeks if I have challenges, it may be more. Look for my posts to become more regular on Tuesday to Friday, with a Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop on the first and third Monday of each month.
Here's a psst.. for you. When you stop by my blog, you make me happy. When you leave a comment it makes me smile! I appreciate each and every one of you and thank you for your kind words of encouragement to share what I love.
