Hi and happy Monday!
I've been keeping up with the 30 day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin and got to do some coloring over the weekend with the Vivid Vases stamp set by Stamping' Up!
I used Copic markers to color the background and Inktense colored pencils for each flower.
I tried a technique new to me that I can't wait to try again. I used watercolor pencils and lightly stroked color onto the darkest part of each vase. Then I used a Blender Pen to gently move the ink and fill in the rest of the vase. A good watercolor paper is needed for this technique. You can find an amazing video tutorial on Kathy's blog HERE.
I also added Glossy Accents to accent the purple flowers.
I'm off for now to do my daily dose of coloring! I have a busy month but there's always a little time to color.
I'm encouraging you to try it too! Thanks so much for coming by today. It's been awfully quiet here on my blog, I'd love to read a comment from you!
