Sorry to be MIA this week, but life priorities are important! I had a bit of a hard time last week as my Mom was hospitalized for a stroke. I'm happy to report that I've just come back from visiting her and she is doing much, much better. We had a wonderful visit and I'm so relieved that she has bounced back. She loves life!
I made a couple of cards for her and gave them to her in person. It helps her to remember, hopefully, that I've been there. She has trouble speaking but she whispered to me that she saves every one.
She loves flowers and I loved this sentiment for her from Papertrey Ink's Scripted stamp set.
She has painted all her life with oils and watercolors. This was my attempt to create a watercolor effect using my Zig Markers and a paintbrush. I added many layers of color, drying between each one.
I wanted to keep the card simple and for the card base I colored white card stock around the edges with an aqua marker to match the floral background.
The whimsical images with stitching are from a new Simon Says Stamps set called Spring Flowers.
After traveling 1400 miles in four days I have some catching up to do, but I'll be back tomorrow with two posts!
I hope you've been inspired by your visit today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs~
