September Stamp With Me Saturday

I know many of you looked forward to the Stamp with me Saturday feature I had on my blog. Sorry to say, I am pretty busy doing other things on Saturday and have neglected to post a card and the directions. But I have something for you today!

I posted my Bearthday Wraps gift bag last week and so many of you liked it. So did Nancy Riley who featured the bag, my Christmas Pines card, and my Autumn Blessings card for her iPICKS.  WOW! I couldn't believe she picked three of my projects! Sure did make me smile <as in grin from ear to ear!> to be there among the other awesome and inspiring entries.

With all that said - here's what you've been asking for! Here are the basic instructions so that you can create the Tall gift box. Ready?

1. Begin with a 12 x 12 sheet of designer series paper.

2. Score vertical lines at 2", 5-3/4",7-3/4", and 11-1/2". Turn and score horizontally at 2" across the bottom.

3. Starting at the 2" score, cut up to the 2" mark to make the box bottom. Repeat; cut up to the 2" mark at the other score lines. Cut off the 1/2" piece up to the 2" line to make folding easier.

4. Fold along score lines and adhere to make box shape. Adhere with sticky strip or strong adhesive, sides first, then the bottom. That's it! Wasn't that easy!

Now decorate the front however you like. I cut the box down about 1" at the top, and added another patterned paper layer with a scalloped border. For more details on the supplies that I used click HERE for the original post. You can fold the top of the box down as I did, or let it stand tall and secure with a wide ribbon. Stamp with me Saturday!

It's the first week of May, time for Stamp with me Saturday! Every month, this feature is my way of sharing step by step directions to make a card that I posted the month before. If you are new to card-making, follow the directions and experience the fun of making a card of your own. Experienced stampers will enjoy having a jump-start of layout and measurements. In either case, use stamps and supplies that you have on hand, and have fun!

Directions:
1. Fold Baja Breeze card stock (5-1/2" x 11") for card base.
2. Cut a panel of Old Olive ( 2-3/4 x 5-1/2")
3. Stamp your design across a white panel ( 1-3/4 x 5-1/2")
4. Punch the scalloped oval out of the white piece.
5.  Adhere to a so saffron panel. ( 2 x 5- 1/2") Mat with the olive piece and adhere to the card.
6. Stamp the sentiment and punch out with the oval punch. Sponge the edges. Attach with a foam square.
7. Loop ribbon around the card and tie in a knot. Enjoy your card, and enjoy sending it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Stems, Oval All
Paper: baja breze, so saffroon, old olive, whisper white
Ink: baja breeze, so saffron

Accessories: so saffron ribbon, medium oval punch, scalloped oval pundh
