Good morning to you! Can you believe it's March and I had not used my Good Morning Sunshine paper yet? I had so much fun creating this card. When I got to adding those punched circles, I intended to have only the darker blue circle patterns showing. Somehow seeing all those dissected birdie parts really made me chuckle and I thought it would be really be fun to mix them up. This layout came right out of the Idea Book, you'll find it on page 35. This card was really quick - about 30 minutes start to finish. I stamped the words on a separate piece of white and cut them out. Decided they didn't show up enough, so I added detail with my marker.
The bottom of the card was dry embossed using my Texturz plate from Stampin' Up! and the empressor stylus. It's a great tip I learned (thanks, Ruth Ann!) that enables you to add a textured border to your card. You'll see it better if you click for the larger photo pop-up.
Here's a peek at the inside! This card is for a dear friend, and I have promised myself that I will write the note and get it in the mail to her today. Do you ever have trouble following through to send the cards that you make? I do! Y'all come back tomorrow and ask me if I did it. :D
I"ve been so enjoying the Cheep Talk set and the retro colors~ hope you like it too!
This is super cute Cindy! I LOVE the layout and the colors.

Wow, what a great card. I love the yellow, I don't have the nerve to use it, but it looks so great with the Pacific Point!
The last time I tried one of those punched circle 'trims' it sure did not look as great as yours.
What a happy card, I hope it perks up your friend.
