If you've read my blog for awhile you know that I am often not satisfied with my photos, especially when it comes to achieving a likeness to the true colors of the cards I make. Well, I did something over the weekend that looks like it will be a big change for me and make my photo editing a breeze. Then my life will be so much simpler~ *wink* I made my own light box. I had always admired Jenn's photos (eta: also her gorgeous cards!) and she was kind enough to share her do-it-yourself light box. You'll find the directions HERE. The funny thing is, I have a photo light box kit that my husband bought me - but it had some issues.
The home made light box was made in an afternoon and cost under $50 total. It measures 20 x 30" so it takes up a good bit of space.
Now, here's the fun part. Here's the BEFORE photo of last Friday's card - the one that gave me some trouble because Almost Amethys is a soft shad of purple and it looks gray/blue.
And here's the one I took in the new light box.
True colors, {sigh} and better detail, don't you think? I was so happy about this I just had to pass it on to you. I hope I'll get consistently better photos and take a bit less time doing it.(there's a hint that I'm still working on time management skills too :D) Hope this may be a practical idea for some of you as well. Have a blessed day!
Fabulous job, Cindy! I may have to try one someday!
