I love the Nature Walk set and yesterday I enjoyed giving it a fresh look with the Elegant Soiree Designer Paper. Yes, I've been hoarding these beautiful patterned sheets in my stack and it was time to get them out to use again. Spring was on my mind since while much of the nation is buried in snow, we have had warm balmy weather!
As Juanita reminded me in her comment on yesterday's card, I switch from clean and simple to fancy, as she put it. I like being able to use several styles, but sometimes I do get in a rut. It is so refreshing to add some frill and bling, and yes, quite a few layers.
I did lots of distressing to add a vintage look. Here are some of the details:
- sponging and roughing up the edges of the image panel
- layering several images and adding spritzes of color
- I even distressed the Seam Binding by heating with a heat tool to add a bit of curl. Don't look too closely or you'll see where it got to look a bit toasted aged, as in golden *wink*
- hanging a Vintage Tag with a tiny sentiment
Here's today's POP QUIZ question for you: I used Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink in two places on this card, can you find them? Let me know in the comments, if you like! Or just pop in to say hello.
Have a great day!
