Every once in awhile it's good to reflect on where I've been and evaluate what was good in the past. What brought success or helped me learn something in a new way, or simply brought a smile to my day?
Yesterday my friend and I got to doing just that as we visited, talked, prayed together (do you know how SPECIAL that is - I am SO grateful!) And of course, we stamped. She set out some colors and 2 stamp sets for us to play with. I chose the Razzle Dazzle set and Dusty Durango for my card.
Can't say that I just cranked this out, KWIM? It seemed to take me for-ev-uh to figure out what to do for my card. I finally decided to get creative with ink, distressing, and the emboss resist technique.
The butterfly began as a square of DP that simply had a grid on it. I stamped the floral image and embossed it in white, then sponged it with Dusty Durango and a bit of Night of Navy ink. The butterfly was die cut using the Beautiful Butterflies die.
I embossed the Crumb Cake panel with the Elegant Bouquet folder, sponged it with white craft ink, and used the Color Spritzer tool to add a sprinkling of Crumb Cake across it. If you have any further questions about the supplies or technique I used, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
The Razzle Dazzle set is one that is retiring at the end of this month. Make sure you check those retiring sets and accessories and contact me to order any you don't want to miss out on!
In reflecting, I also realize that I MISSED doing my Friday Flashback feature for you last Friday! Just came and went and you know what - I forgot. So for the next two or three days, I will make it up to you as we look back at some of the retiring sets. Hope you'll join me right here. Have a great day!

Beautiful, Cindy! I love the pearls and the embossing! Dusty Durango was a great color!
