I love the sentiment "Thank You for your Kindness" from the Occasional Quotes hostess stamp set and it was a perfect match for LeAnne's theme challenge at The Paper Players. I'm Guest Designer this month, and as if that isn't exciting enough I got my pre-order of the new catalog just in time to play with as I designed my card, so there are quite a few sneak peeks for you!
The new In Colors just bowled me over! I began with putting a new color combo together using Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Pink Pirouette. The new blues and green may bear some resemblance to other colors we have - namely my old favorite Cool Caribbean - but IRL they are quite different! I wish the photos could show that, but they don't. You'll just have to get some beginning July 1, and find out for yourself!
I created a background by wheeling Pool Party ink with the Baroque Border wheel onto card stock of the same color. I love the soft look of this color, it reminds me of Cool Caribbean made just a wee bit more subtle with a dash Soft Sky.
My flowers were stamped with the new set, Simply Soft, and although this is a 2-step stamping set, I chose to color them in with inks. My favorite new items are the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch, and the doily from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper that has 2 sheets of beautiful laser cut doilies, just perfect for tucking in behind my main image. I just had to add a pretty pink butterfly!

Cindy, I am so thrilled that you are our GD this month. What a great way to kick off, too. I love the color scheme you used. I love the fact that the fabulous little pink butterfly is perfectly positioned opposite the vintage brad. The repetitions of circles makes me happy! I love that you used the doily at the top and the lace ribbon border punch at the bottom.
