I'm getting ready to host my stamping club tonight and that makes it a very very special day.
I've had a blast making projects for them featuring the Stocking Builder Punch for Christmas. ( I may be sharing those later this week.) Today's card is a sample showing just one of the very fun "out of the box" ideas for using this punch. The hobby horse. Not my original idea, but of course I had to make my own take on it with today's design.
I used Baker's Twine which I wound around the barrel of a pen to make loops, then slid those off and adhered them with Sticky Strip to form the mane. The ear comes from the part of the stocking punch that would form the heel, it's the perfect size!
I love the Frostwood Lodge DSP and think it works wonderfully here for a birthday card combined with Crumb Cake. The stick is a Bamboo Skewer that I cut off and secured with Sticky Strip. I added a scalloped ruffle to the horse and popped up the head with double-stacked dimensionals.
Could you just imagine the smiles and delight of a little son, grandson or nephew when he opens this card? You can order supplies to make this card for your special little someone, contact me today and I'll get you clip-clopping in no time.
