I didn't quite get the buzz about twisted cards until I realized that they are super easy and quick to make and can double as a gift card holder. Everybody needs quick these days as the holidays approach, right?
I felt sure my club would enjoy these so last week I made a few samples I'll share with you today.
The very cool thing is that these cards have two pockets which makes them so versatile for sending a gift card, photo, small note, theater tickets - you name it! On this one the front pocket is adhered shut.
But the pocket on the inside is ready for a gift.
While the twisted cards I've seen are cute and trendy, I wanted a more elegant design for my Christmas sample using Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and a rosette.
Using the Two Tags Bigz Die I created a tag or bookmark that slides out of the front pocket to reveal the sentiment.
I know you'll want to know how to make these and my talented friend Kelly Gettelfinger has made a great video tutorial showing you how. You can find it HERE.
The amazing thing about the twisted card is that you can step it up, as I've done here by folding my cardstock and adding layers. Or, by simply folding a 1/2 sheet of double-sided designer paper for the card base you've got a super cute project. Hope you'll give it a try!
I"m back from my few days of a fantastic mini vacation, it was a delight!!! Hopefully I can be a bit more chatty in the days to come after I've settled back in.
How do you settle back in after a few days of moving from pool to seaside and wondering where to go for dinner? Since it's my last name I can take this thought with me any where..."life's a beach.."
I so appreciate you. Thanks for popping in to spend some time in my little corner of blogland.
