I know it's still summer, but since I just got time to play with my new Holiday Catalog order, it will be a Christmas in August theme for today!
I fell in love first thing with the Winter Frost Collection and decided right then and there that the soft grays and vivid blues would be on my Christmas cards this year. I ususally gravitate to traditional colors for my cards, but I do love silver and blue!
I also gave in and ordered the Pop Up Card Base and Label Pop And Cut. I am so glad that I did! Interactive cards are so much fun, especially if they have an elegant surprise inside. Instead of focusing on using one set multiple ways on my posts this week, I've decided to change it up and WOW you with samples made with the Pop and Cut Die for the next three or four posts.
I inked the tree in Silver Metallic Encore and it shines in real life! The Silver Foil Sheets frame the white panel but unfortunately their sparkle is lost in the photo.
When you pop the card open, a lovely ornament greets you! The coordinating Festive Flurry Framelits and Stamp Set make creating a beautiful ornament so easy! I attached it with foam dimensionals so that it can easily be removed from the card as a gift for the recipient. I LOVE the silvered filigree Frosted Finishes Embellishments with the rhinestone centers. Talk about elegance!
I can't wait to share all the rest one day at a time.
I'd love to hear from you! Do you enjoy interactive cards? Traditional or non-traditional colors for Christmas? Do you have questions or comments regarding my project? I'd be happy to answer in my comments column, so go ahead and ask! Chances are, someone else may have the same question.

This card is so beautiful - breathtaking, really. The colors, the shine, silver, everything. Love it, love it, love it.

It's not too early for Christmas cards! I should start making them now. I love blue and silver for Christmas cards. It looks so serene. Love the card, and the ornament is a nice extra gift!

Okay, I'm waiting for the videos!! Did you use the new metallic silver ink for the edge of the sentiment panel? I'm finding that this ink is GREAT and it doesn't smear like I assumed it would!! Hugs!
