Hello and welcome to my blog!
I have another project for you made with the Pop Up Card Base. I began with making it into a gift card holder, but then I got all carried away with making a Special Gift to put inside!
Here's a peek.
I began with a card base made with the Sissix die and Smoky Slate Card Stock. The tree image from the Special Season stamp set was stamped in Smoky Slate ink, and the greeting was heat embossed with Pool Party. I love the soft blush of color against the gray!
I folded and scored the card base to make the gift card holder with a pocket inside. Because the ornament is a bit more bulky, I punched holes for threading the Pool Party Seam Tape Ribbon, thus allowing for a loose closure.
Inside, there's a pocket for your gift card, or small gift. The unique elegance will make whatever you put inside memorable! The gift card holder is SO EASY to create. Look for a turorial in the coming days with full directions for you.
The ornament is the star of the show here! Made with four layers of dies cut with the Festive Flurry Framelits. On the bottom, there are two layers glued together, the one you see of the striped specialty paper, and one on the back cut from the silver foil sheets. It has to be pretty from both sides, right?
The middle layer is white card stock. I heat embossed the stamped image and used Heat N Stick Powder to add the silver glitter. When you add glitter this way, it STAYS PUT and you avoid the shedding-glitter-syndrome. At least that's what I call it!
The top layer is Pool Party card stock heat embossed in white, crowned with a Frosted Finish Embellishment.
If your'e new to my blog, I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and I'd be happy to tell you how you may order any of the supplies used to make today's project.
I hope you've been inspired to make something beautiful today!
