Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop: Six-Sided Sampler Edition! If you are new to our hop, we are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who post on the first and third Monday of each month, all sharing ideas for ways to use one specific stamp set. Thanks for joining us, I know you'll be inspired!
You should have just arrived from Yapha Mason's blog. Or if you are beginning here, hop on around until you see her pretty projects!
I often begin with a sketch in mind for my cards, but this time I came up with a color combo and wanted to try it out. I am still in pastel mode, which translated means that I am out of my comfort zone (I LOVE my brights!), especially when any shade of purple is involved.
So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding and Wisteria Wonder. Like an Easter basket, right? HELLO!
I used My Digital Studio's Smitten Alphabet Punch and my Silhouette Cameo to cut the focal point. It was cut three times, and I layered them together, adding Crystal Effects for shine. I like the way the large HELLO works with the sentiment from the stamp set on the tag.
I also drew the square around the border of the card by hand. Yep, it made me nervous but I like the way it pulls the design together.
Next head on to Holly's blog by using the button below. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us this time!

Fabulous colors and layout. Love all the details on it (like the hand drawn border). Cute, cute!

Beautiful card, Cindy! I, too, have a difficult time with purple but it looks wonderful on your card. The cut hello looks wonderful, too. Will definitely have to give that a shot! Thanks for the inspiration!
