Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop!
We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who enjoy highlighting a stamp set, theme, and product for our hops on the first and third Sunday of each month. Our theme for today is such a fun one - CONFETTI ! Our hop includes the Dotty Angles photopolymer stamp and a great accessory, Coaster Board.
I began by pulling out my Everyday Adventure Project Life kit and finding the journal cards that used a confetti motif. I've wanted to show how easy it is to use these for card designs and today is the day!
The Project Life journalling card became the focus as I matted it with Crushed Curry card stock so the script would stand out. The Washi tape and arrow embellishments are also from from the Project Life Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack. I stamped Celebrate! onto the vinyl arrow using Black StazON ink and the And Many More stamp set.
For the next card I wanted lots of texture, so I heat embossed and also added a border of Coaster Board. I LOVE Coaster Board - it is sturdy but not as heavy as chipboard. Since it won't wilt when wet, it's a great product for watercolor washes and texturizing in many ways. I used a Melon Mambo ink spray to color the Coaster Board. Just mix a bit of alcohol and reinker, then spritz. I also sponged the board and when it was dry, I embossed with the Scalloped Border folder.
Now that you've had a close look at the texture, here's the rest of the card!
I hope you'll swing on through the rest of the hop. I know you'll be inspired by all the ideas of this talented group.

Wow! These projects are great, Cindy! I especially like the second one with the Pictogram Punches set. The bright colors on the smoky slate card are wonderful!

Wow! I love everything about both of your projects - the color combos, the banners on your first card and use of the PL card, and that little bit of coaster board is fantastic! You rock!

Cindy these are great! I can't believe we both chose the same Project Life confetti paper! We think alike! But I love how you took yours a step further and added some more elements to the card! The second project is so cute! Love that color combo! Great job!
