With a dozen birthdays coming in our family over the next month and a half, it's time for me to start building my birthday card stash one design at a time!
I pulled out the Butterfly Basics set from Stampin' Up! to give you a sneak peek of what's coming in the Occasions Catalog on January 6. I always think I have enough flower stamp sets, but hey - who can resist flowers and butterflies?! Not me.
I colored with Copics and added Linen Thread and a touch of White Jute Ribbon to soften the boldness of the colors. I got the Copics for Christmas and I've decided if I wait until I get "good enough" with them, I'll never use them! So you and I can expect to see improvement as I practice.
I'm joining in with the latest challenge at Retro Sketches.
Thanks to you for joining me today and every other day, too! Are you having a quiet day back at work or in your normal routine? I am loving it and I'd love to hear from you too!

Precious! Love the Hello Honey tone with the Blackberry Bliss butterfly! And this sketch is awesome! A 5x5 card leaves excellent room for layers and embellishement! Happy New Year!
