Sometimes it feels good to just stamp. No fussy cutting or dies, no ribbon (gasp!!) or buttons. Just stamps, paper and ink. Catchy name, don't you think?
I'm feeling kinda blue. We helped our daughter and son in love move over the weekend. They are still within an hour and a half drive from us, but with the baby coming and all. Sigh.
Also this past weekend our pastor retired after 21 years of service in the same church he began. He loves telling the story of beginning in the Fire Station when they moved two trucks out of the way and let them set up chairs. How we will miss him!
So of course I found a quiet place and stamped. And prayed. And made this card with shades of blue and a butterfly to bring hope. I must not forget the sequins and pearls. Just HAD TO add those. :->
I have my friends coming to stamp today and I hope they'll have fun making this one with the Butterfly Basics set. It is a CASE from THIS gorgeous card by Vicki Dutcher that I added to my pinterest files awhile ago.
I think this set was made to layer in collage style. I began by embossing the flower and stem in white and then adding images inked in Coastal Cabana and Whisper White onto the Pool Party card stock.
The butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set was stamped onto Bermuda Bay card stock and punched out.
Be yourself.
Find delight in your craft.
Make something beautiful!
Ohmygoodness! This is just PERFECT!!! I love this stamp set for just what you used it for - STAMPING! Sometimes it's just like you said - stamps, paper, and ink! That's all we need!! :-) I'm going to CASE your card - TODAY! :-)

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment! I wanted to drop in on you as well! So glad I did - what a stunning card! I love butterflies and this collage is gorgeous. I am not good at collage stamping myself - have never tried it - so I really enjoy looking at your card and figuring out how you did it. Wish I was attending your stamp camp so I could learn how to do this!
