I've been playing with coloring and inks and couldn't resist trying the techniques of the most amazing Kathy Racoosin for coloring this pretty bouquet from the Sweet Posies set.
I used Copic markers and the feathering technique, leaving a bit of a white edge so it's only one layer of color. I used the Uni-Signo Gel pen to add the white polka dots, but didn't have such great success with this. Maybe it's time to buy a new one!
Each image is outlined with a black marker for definition after coloring.
For the butterfly I stamped on So Saffron card stock, and added highlights with a Copic marker and Wink of Stella pen.
I loved taking the time to work on my coloring skills with this card. After that, I really took awhile to play around with the best accents and layout.
I'm sitting at the hair salon as I write this post. Thinking of how I'm grateful for April's expertise with color and design. <G> Thanks for coming by to see my blog today.
Hugs~

Cindy, your card is beautiful! I love the dots with the gel pen; I like that they are soft, and not heavy looking. Reminds me of those beautiful Tiger Lillies we used to have in our garden as a kid in Chicago. They had soft dots too; this is really pretty! Great job!
