I got inky for today's background made with Distress Inks and markers, and the Best Buds set from Paper Smooches. Totally stained my fingers but I love it and the results made me happy too.
I'm playing with the colors at the color throwdown and pulled out distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron - I LOVE that new color! I only bought the marker but think now I will need the ink. I spritzed watercolor paper with water and added the colors.
The sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch was my starting place.
The sentiment is embossed in white on vellum and cut out. Since I needed to use some gray for the color combo, I added a bit of Smokey Slate card stock behind the banner. Highlights of color were added to the vellum with markers.
Now, I'm not sure if this is CLEAN enough to qualify as a CAS card. I ruled out adding any other embellishment to my focal point. No twine, or ribbon. But do you think using only ONE sequin instead of 3, 5, or 7, makes it more clean or simple?
Just giggling a bit now because you KNOW I like to embellish! Hope you have a wonderful day!
