Hello, how are you today?
I'm enjoying the crisp cool morning so far and looking forward to getting outside when the sunshine warms up the day.
I have a card to share inspired by the Classic Christmas theme at Holiday Style, and in particular, using white and gold for an elegant card. Here's my take on it.
I love gold, so I couldn't wait to get started using the Weary World stamp set from Verve, which is on sale this month! I love this set, it has textures in the stamps, and I think it looks good jazzed up with gold embossing. I wish you could see it in real life. The gold is brighter and less brassy looking.
But then I wonder if I went overboard on the gold. What do you think?
I embossed the sentiment in gold on the striped vellum layer and added more texture with the embossed panel on the card base. I will add this to the challenge Virginia Lu has going on this month to use texture.
Hope you will have a wonderful rest of the day. Thanks so much for spending some of your time with me here on my blog.

No you did not go overboard with the gold. The design is fabulous, those bold stripes are fantastic.
